Retirement of Java K’s Coffeehouse
I have mixed emotions on my announcement of retirement. As much as I’m looking forward to a much deserved rest, I am going to miss all of my customer’s and the many friendships that have grown through the years.
I have tried to find a buyer for the business and have had several interested parties, one as recently as Monday 11/7. The economy downturn has made it difficult for interested parties to secure loans. The opportunity to turn this business into a thriving- niche as a coffeehouse/wine bar has presented itself several times but yet no one has decided to take that forward step. I was hoping (selfishly) that someone would buy the business so I would have a comfortable place to come and drink coffee and visit with friends from past years.
Thursday, December 22, 2011 will be the last day of operation of Java K’s Coffeehouse. I will be in and out of the shop throughtout Jan. and Feb. of 2012, if you see my car stop by and say “hi.” I am taking those two months to decide what plan of action I will use to empty out remaining inventory and shop equipment. I may have an auctioneer handle the liquidation, if so watch for those signs to appear at Java K’s!
Again, I want to take the opportunity to thank all of my wonderful customer’s for the past 7 years of loyality and friendships. Kay Morris
